This event takes place during the week around 15 August, the feast of the Assumption. For a week the entire city dresses up and hundreds of activities are carried out for everyone to enjoy. Among them, the traditional fireworks contest, in which every night pyrotechnics of international stature give a performance from the Alderdi Eder gardens, next to the San Sebastian Town Hall, or the theatre on offer with first-rate plays, as well as entertaining street theatre performances.
